Estimating the Risk Function for Poultry Projects and Determining the Behavior of Broiler Breeders Toward the Risks they are Exposed to in Salah al-Din Governorate for the production Year (2021)

Abstract
The research aims to estimate the risk function of broiler projects, and to determine the behavior of broiler projects breeders towards the risks they are exposed to in the research area by adopting the risk avoidance criterion (K(s)), the research relied on primary data from the research area in the light of a questionnaire prepared for this purpose for broiler breeders in Salah al-Din Governorate for the production year (2021), data was collected from (75) projects, and it constituted (84.26%) of the total operating projects (89) projects in the governorate for the production year (2021), the results were shows the percentage of breeders who preferred risk formed about (100%), while the breeders who preferred medium risk and the breeders who avoid risk did not fall within these two categories of the breeders, and this shows that the largest percentage of broiler breeders for the research sample in Salah al-Din Governorate for the productive year (2021) prefer to take risks, and the average value of the risk parameter (K(s)) for the category of breeders preferred to risk (0.14), and the results of the production risk function for broiler projects for the research sample shows that the level of education, had a positive impact on the risk of production, while the years of experience It negatively affected the risk of production, the research recommended reducing feeding costs and presenting investment opportunities in the field of establishing automatic slaughterhouses and modern refrigerators.
