Abstract

The obligation to provide information is among the most important obligations stipulated in the law. This obligation has a preventative effect, protecting the contracting party from any defect in consent, particularly with regard to an internet service subscription contract. This contract is confidential, as it contains information that may be unknown to the consumer versus the internet service provider. Such a breach entails penalties prescribed by law, depending on the case, such as termination of the contract or compensation.
