Abstract

The research aims to identify the extent to which it is possible to measure the environmental performance in the districts of the municipalities of Nineveh Governorate (Miriah Makhmour Municipality - Al-Qarraj Municipality Directorate - Debaga Municipality Directorate). Outdated mechanisms, lack of awareness of beneficiaries, air pollution, weak sewage networks, lack of green spaces) which was negatively reflected in the level of environmental performance, and from this point of view the research problem was formulated with the main question, does environmental performance vary in its impact on the practices of the Directorate of Municipalities of Nineveh Governorate according to Opinions of the selected sample for the districts belonging to the directorates of the municipalities of Nineveh Governorate (Makhmour Municipality Directorate - Al-Qarraj Municipality Directorate- Debaga Municipality Directorate).                                                                                                            

As the research was based in its procedures on the descriptive analytical approach in presenting the theoretical foundations as well as the case study method, which includes more than one tool for data collection, which is the questionnaire form with 150 forms distributed equally among the directorates of the Directorate of Municipalities of Nineveh Governorate represented by (Makhmour Municipality Directorate - Directorate of Municipality of Al-Qarraj). – Directorate of the Municipality of Debaga) in addition to the personal interviews, as the research found that there is a discrepancy between the directorates of the municipalities of Nineveh Governorate and in light of the results, the research reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which is that by analyzing the discrepancy between the municipalities of the Directorate of the Nineveh Governorate Municipality that the Makhmour Municipality Directorate got the highest A percentage among the rest of the districts in terms of importance, as this municipality is blessed with having an efficient administrative performance and complies with all environmental performance indicators. - Debaga) and then supplying him with specialized competencies in the field of environmental management, natural resources, sustainability, greening and renewable energy from Wade technicians Aryans, engineers, biologists, physicists and chemists
