Abstract

The research problem tackles the importance and role of the sample in research field in the humanities and social sciences. In order to address the topic, we have adopted the analytical method. At the beginning of the article, we discussed the statistical sample: in terms of its definition, terms associated with it, and determinants of its withdrawal - determining its size and factors affecting its objectivity, then we moved To review the types of samples, whether probabilistic (simple random sample - regular random sample - stratified or gradual sample - fixed or permanent sample - compound or cluster sample - areal sample) or non-probability (intentional sample - casual sample - aggregate sample - voluntary sample Rolling Snowball Sample), and we concluded the article by highlighting the general positives of the sample and the errors associated with it.
